Commercial Automation, Engineered Around the Building

Madoc delivers commercial building automation across Malaysia, working on offices, hospitality, institutional buildings, places of worship and industrial properties. Commercial work is led by how the building is operated rather than by a product list, so the starting point is the control architecture, the panel and riser layout, and the interfaces that each specified system exposes.

Depending on the project, the scope can include lighting control across floors and common areas, HVAC integration with the specified plant, access control and security tied into the same logic, and energy or system monitoring where the client needs visibility of consumption and status. Not every commercial project includes all of these, and the scope is agreed during design.

Coordination is a large part of the work. Madoc works alongside the consultants, the mechanical and electrical contractor and the other trades so that cable routes, panel space and control points are settled before installation begins. Each project then goes through commissioning, where devices, interfaces, schedules and scenes are tested against the design and handed over with documentation.

ISKANDAR PUTERI, JOHOR | LOXONE AND KNX

TNB Hub Iskandar Puteri

A Tenaga Nasional customer service hub built so that routine building functions run on their own, leaving staff to attend to customers rather than to equipment. Madoc integrated Loxone with KNX Eelectron devices so socket circuits, television operation, air conditioning and indoor air quality monitoring are coordinated through one control layer.

Every controlled socket circuit is metered, with programmed thresholds that raise an alert on unusual consumption and can switch a circuit off once a defined limit is reached.
