TNB Hub Iskandar Puteri was designed around a simple operational objective: routine building functions should run automatically so staff can focus on their work rather than operating equipment throughout the day.
Madoc integrated Loxone with KNX Eelectron devices to coordinate the power socket circuits, television operation, air conditioning and indoor air quality monitoring. These systems are brought together through a common automation layer so that everyday operation can follow programmed schedules, conditions and thresholds.
Every controlled socket circuit is monitored for electrical consumption and can be switched through the system. Programmed thresholds can generate alerts when unusually high consumption or an overload condition is detected, and selected circuits can be switched off when a defined limit is reached. This turns ordinary socket outlets into actively managed electrical loads rather than passive power points.
The televisions are also incorporated into the operating schedule. They can switch on and off according to the time and day, while management can update content remotely from headquarters without travelling to the site. Routine TV operation therefore does not depend on staff at the Hub.
Together with automated air conditioning control and indoor air quality monitoring, the result is a workplace where repetitive operational tasks happen in the background. Manual control can remain available when required, but normal day to day operation is designed to require minimal staff intervention.
Socket circuits are monitored and controlled through Loxone using KNX Eelectron devices. Consumption data allows the system to identify defined high usage or overload conditions, issue alerts and, where programmed, switch selected circuits off when a threshold is reached.
The televisions follow programmed operating days and times rather than relying on staff to switch them manually. Management can also update content remotely from headquarters, reducing the need for site visits when display content needs to change.
Air conditioning control and indoor air quality monitoring are integrated into the same automation environment. Routine climate operation can follow the programmed building schedule while indoor conditions remain visible to the system for monitoring.
Madoc planned the automation around the operational requirements of the Hub, including socket management, television operation, air conditioning and indoor air quality monitoring.
The control panels were assembled and wired with the KNX Eelectron devices required for monitored and controllable socket circuits, with Loxone providing the automation layer.
Schedules, operating logic, monitoring thresholds and system behaviour were programmed so routine equipment operation could take place automatically while remaining manageable when required.
Madoc tested the integrated systems on site, commissioned the programmed behaviour and prepared the automation for normal operation at the Hub.
