PROJECT STORY

Templer Heights was Madoc’s first project, completed in 2014. This five-storey villa was planned from the beginning around a KNX system, with lighting, ceiling fans and air conditioning controlled through the system. The villa is located in Rawang, Selangor, Malaysia, and the system was designed, programmed and commissioned by Madoc, a Malaysia based systems integrator.

As the project was nearing completion, Madoc discovered Loxone. We then integrated a Loxone Miniserver with the existing KNX system, allowing the project to move beyond conventional control into broader automation.

The result was a system that could do more than simply provide centralised control through switches. Loxone gave Madoc the ability to introduce greater automation and more coordinated behaviour across the building. The same approach to system design and integration is applied across the wider Madoc project portfolio.

PROJECT PROCESS
01

KNX System Planned

The villa was originally designed around KNX for lighting, ceiling fan and air conditioning control.

02

Loxone Discovered

Near completion, Madoc discovered Loxone and identified an opportunity to extend the system’s capabilities.

03

Loxone Miniserver Integrated

Rather than replacing KNX, Madoc integrated a Loxone Miniserver with the existing KNX installation.

04

From Control to Automation

The system evolved from centralised control towards a more integrated automation approach.
